You could win could’ve won an Ektoplasmar converted projection lens by signing up for my very infrequent photography newsletter. (EDIT: But that drawing is now over.)
In the newsletter, I am talk about art, creativity and some specific photography stuff — like how I am converting these inexpensive lenses and getting the best results from them.
Of course you can still sign up for the newsletter…
It s part mad scientist’s lab notebook, in which I make mistakes so you don’t have to, and part inspirational content to help get you out doing whatever creative things you love.
I want you to get a sense of the images you could make with a lens like this. So here are some of the photographs I’ve made this year with the Ektoplasmars that I have converted.
Some of My Ektoplasmar Images

I think these lenses are very versatile and fun, which is why I keep working with them. And I think you would have enjoyed one too.
They definitely can deliver some surprising results. I carry one in my bag most of the time now, and mine has saved the day a few times getting results — even when other planned images didn’t turn out.
I hope to see you on the newsletter mailing list. It’s going to be fun to give one of these away! Meanwhile stay in touch via Twitter, Flickr or Instagram where I post pictures frequently.
And keep checking back here for more news about the Ektoplasmar converted projection lens project.
